In a tight tilt between the Quebec City Baby Blues and the North Ft. Myers Gators, Chuck De La Cruz was the deciding factor. The Quebec City right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. De La Cruz picked up the win for Quebec City, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 6-6. José García got the save, his 3rd in 4 chances.
In the top of the ninth, Luke Werkman stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Gators were trailing 3-1, but had runners on 1st and 3rd. That's when José García made a terrific pitch and Werkman grounded out. Gone was the dream of a North Ft. Myers comeback.
