The MSL Oakland Oaks stopped the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan, 3-2, behind an impressive performance from Risto Leino. The 18-year old left fielder made life miserable for MSL Nova Scotia pitching. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The triumph makes MSL Oakland 4-9.
With MSL Oakland leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Leino hit a run-scoring single off MSL Nova Scotia hurler Júlio Calderón. It was the 6th hit of the season for Leino and put his team ahead, 2-0.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Leino said.
