MSL Mexico City got a decent performance from pitcher Bertrand Gilbert, but it wasn't enough to beat the MSL D.C. Divided. MSL D.C. won the MSL D.C. Ballpark contest, 3-2. Gilbert threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Oscar Milledge, the winning pitcher, is now 5-1. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 2 and walking 4. Dwien Bellanueva closed it out for MSL D.C., earning his 3rd save.
Rod Sutton dealt the Blue Demons a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with a runner on 3rd and MSL D.C. leading 2-0, Sutton hit a 1-2 slider for a run-scoring single.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Sutton.
The third-place Divided now have a record of 12-8.
