Dirty Reds Drop Bullets, 4-1
|

The MSL Dayton Dirty Reds bested the MSL Baltimore Bullets by a score of 4-1, with second baseman Jerry Piper getting the main credit. On the day, Piper was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Dirty Reds. The triumph makes MSL Dayton 6-15.
Piper contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for MSL Dayton in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Piper took a slider from Ferdinand Koliewsky and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Dirty Reds to leap in front, 2-1.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Piper.
