Big Day for Ubbens in 10-9 Bowties Win
Thanks in large part to third baseman Umberto Ubbens, the MSL Buckhead Bowties beat the MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan, 10-9. Ubbens was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Reynaldo Hernández, the winner, is now 4-1. He struck out 3 and walked 3 over 6 innings, while allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The save was credited to Pedro Rodríguez, his 2nd.

With MSL Buckhead leading 3-1 in the bottom of the third, Ubbens hit a fastball from Roberto Solano for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Bowties ahead, 6-1.

Ubbens expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."

The Bowties saw their record improve to 11-11.
