Battery Walk It Off for 8th Win of Season
|
The MSL Charleston Battery wiggled past the MSL Buckhead Bowties, 4-3, in 11 innings at MSL Charleston Ballpark. The win was highlighted by the performance of MSL Charleston pitcher Ralph Stewart. The triumph makes MSL Charleston 8-17.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 11th, an error by the Bowties allowed the Battery to score the winning run.
MSL Buckhead manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
