The MSL Mexico City Blue Demons earned a close win over the MSL Detroit Rock City, thanks in part to Bertrand Gilbert. The MSL Mexico City right-hander played a key role in the 10-inning, 3-2 victory. Curt Cantrell snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-3 on the season. Rafael Morán suffered the loss. The 4th-place Blue Demons go to 15-11.

The Blue Demons used some clutch hitting to beat the Rock City, a good example being the at-bat of Bob Bennett in the top of the tenth. With two down, Bennett gave his team the lead, 3-2, when he hit a run-scoring single.

"Exciting game to play in," said Bennett. "Getting the win makes it even better."
