Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Lex de Ridder the MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes defeated the MSL Oakland Oaks, 6-2. MSL Oakland now owns a losing streak of 5 games.

Iván Gonzáles, who is tied for 6th in the 3MSL with a 1.196 OPS, had a timely hit in the top of the sixth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the MSL Cape Coral third baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Hurricanes in front, 2-1.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Gomez Talone.
