The MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan downed the MSL D.C. Divided, 6-1, at MSL Nova Scotia Ballpark. Stellar pitching by Xie-li Kun had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is tied for 9th in the 3MSL with a 3.06 ERA, handcuffed his opponent all game. Kun, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 3 walks. Alejandro Quiñones earned the save for MSL Nova Scotia.
In the bottom of the third, MSL Nova Scotia left fielder Riemer Sas had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Sas stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 3-1, MSL Nova Scotia. For the game, he was 2-3 with 2 singles.
"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Wessel Rosas. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
The win makes MSL Nova Scotia 15-19.
