Thomas reaches base 3 times in Northern Lions BC Win
|
The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC handed the MSL Charleston Battery a 6-3 defeat at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. Second Baseman Glenn Thomas starred for MSL Thunder Bay. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The winner in relief was Marcel Brunet. He is now 1-1. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.1 innings. Juan García nailed down the save.
Thomas contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for MSL Thunder Bay in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Thomas took a fastball from Reynold Bothof and stroked the home run to right. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Northern Lions BC to leap in front, 4-1.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Thomas.
The 7th-place Battery now sit at 19-19.
