Grey Wolves Win, 4-2, in Extra Frames
|
The MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves faced a tough opponent in MSL Ft. Worth pitcher Rodrigo Morán, but still scratched out a win at MSL Ft. Worth Ballpark by a final score of 4-2 in 10 innings. Morán went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner was Francisco García in relief. His record improves to 3-0. José Valéncia took the loss. Today's win puts MSL Vancouver at 11-13, while MSL Ft. Worth falls to 12-12.
MSL Vancouver used the clutch hitting of António Zanatti to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Grey Wolves ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Zanatti.
