MSL Memphis turned a good effort from starter Jesús Barrera into a win over the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos at MSL Las Vegas Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. In 6 innings, Barrera surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. With the victory, the Mockingbirds record stands at 14-10.
Joe Ellis Jr., who is tied for 2nd in the SMSL in triples with 3, aided the MSL Memphis cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman went 1-3 with a triple.
"Jesús just settled in and did what he does," said MSL Memphis manager Melvin McCullough.
