Lakers Tag Flamingos with 9-6 Loss
|
The MSL Echo Park Lakers took on the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos at MSL Echo Park Ballpark.
MSL Echo Park right fielder Ángel Andrade helped his team beat the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos, 9-6. Andrade, who leads the SMSL in RBI with 32, went 2 for 3 for the Lakers. Reliever José Pineda picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Hotha Akinwunmi took the loss. Picking up the save was Enrico Pineda, his 6th.
Juan Segura contributed to the MSL Echo Park win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
Segura expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
The Lakers now have a mark of 11-15.
