MSL Echo Park Lakers starter Luis Torrez was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-0. The 5th-place Lakers bumped their record to 13-14.

Ron Cotton had a big 2-run double for the Lakers in the bottom of the third inning. With MSL Echo Park leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a knuckle curve from Ricardo Rentería and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lakers ahead, 3-0.

MSL Echo Park manager Andrew Wilson praised his team's "no BS approach."
