Lighthouse Rally to Win
|
The MSL Long Island Lighthouse took Gil Chapman's best shot and still were able to collect a win at MSL Long Island Ballpark. The final score had MSL Long Island getting past the Liberty, 2-1, in 11 innings. Chapman over 7 innings allowed no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5. The Lighthouse saw their record improve to 18-18.
The Lighthouse got a clutch hit from third baseman Sergio Salazar. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Lighthouse.
"We were in it," said MSL Philadelphia manager Armando Ortíz. "We just didn't score enough runs."
