Kingfishers Send MSL Echo Park Home with 11-4 Loss
|
The MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers defeated the MSL Echo Park Lakers, 11-4. Shortstop Ju-chan Song deserved a large share of the credit. Song went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for the Kingfishers. MSL Pittsburgh reliever Barry Carter picked up the win, raising his record to 5-0. Luis Torrez was tagged with the loss. The Kingfishers are now 24-14, while the Lakers fall to 18-20.
Song had a big hit for MSL Pittsburgh with two out in the bottom of the fifth. With MSL Pittsburgh leading 5-1, Song hit a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Kingfishers up, 9-1.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Song.
