Jenkins and Ortega Dealt Tuesday, January 23rd , 2063 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids and the Hollywood Shredders have agreed to a deal that will have 24-year old minor league 3B Bruce Wood, 21-year old minor league 2B Will Henderson, 19-year old minor league LF Arnold Jenkins, and 20-year old minor league RHP Peter Harris heading to Hollywood in exchange for 29-year old 2B Luis Tañón and 29-year old RF Esteban Ortega. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Looking at his all-time stats, Ortega has a lifetime .255 average with 492 hits, 87 doubles, 20 triples, 47 home runs and 224 RBIs. To date he has scored 302 runs, walked 280 times and stolen 152 bases. |
