Memphis's Thornton Sidelined for Season Monday, July 17th , 2062 David Thornton will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Memphis reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Thornton was injured while throwing a pitch in the Mockingbirds-Patriots clash at Dunkin Donuts Park recently. Doctors said he has a torn labrum and would be out a minimum of 6 months. For the season, Thornton has 2 saves, tossed 23 innings, fanned 22 batters and produced an ERA of 1.17. He has also been credited with 4 wins and 1 loss. |
