Terry Scott Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year
Friday, June 22nd , 2063
The doctors have spoken and Terry Scott of the Rocky Mountain Vibes didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Scott sustained his season-ending injury during the Alameda Airmen game yesterday at Bellevue Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Rocky Mountain medical staff reported Scott had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6-7 months.
This season, in 15 relief appearances, Scott has rung up 9 saves. He has 16 strikeouts and 6 walks in 15.2 innings while registering a 2.30 ERA and a 2-0 won-lost record. Opposing teams have hit .241 against him.
