Season May Be Over for Northern Lions BC Martha
Thursday, May 31st , 2063
The doctors have spoken and Curley Martha of the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Martha sustained his season-ending injury during the Dayton Dirty Reds game yesterday at Great Northern Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Thunder Bay medical staff reported Martha had a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.
This year, Martha has worked 20.1 innings with 19 strikeouts en route to a 1-2 record and 3.98 ERA.
