Seattle Ships Beck to Detroit Tuesday, January 16th , 2063 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Rocketeers announced today the acquisition of $9 in cash from the Detroit Rock City in exchange for 29-year old CF McFlurry Beck. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Rocketeers, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Seattle will retain a portion of Beck's remaining contract. In his 617-game career Beck has tagged 583 hits with 126 doubles, 23 triples and 44 home runs. His lifetime batting average is .252 with 240 RBIs and 253 runs scored. |
