Bethlehem Loses Adachi for Year
Thursday, June 14th , 2063
Bethlehem starting pitcher Ken'ichi Adachi could miss the remainder of the season because of a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. He exited yesterday's Hicksville game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Adachi would be out 10-11 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

Adachi has made 6 starts, tossed 33.1 innings, struck out 26 batters and walked 13. His record is 0-4 with a 4.32 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .273 batting average.
