The Hialeah Dodos and Ft. Myers Marlins played an entertaining game for Dodos Ballpark patrons.
Weak Armstrong, the 6th overall pick in the 2055 draft, propelled his team to victory over the Ft. Myers Marlins. The final score was 4-3, Hialeah. Armstrong picked up the win for Hialeah, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Carl van Bekenes closed the game out for Hialeah, earning his 1st save.
Jeff Huffman helped out the Hialeah cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the center fielder went 2-3 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI.
"Weak had good arm action, good stuff," said Hialeah manager Albert Pérez.
