Boden Hitless, Streak Ends at 21

Jonathan Boden's 21-game hitting streak was snapped at Plymouth Quarry. The 37-year-old Milton Dogfish Head designated hitter failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats in the game against the Plymouth Rocks, but Milton came out the winner, 10-8.
"I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Jonathan," Dogfish Head manager Brian Burt said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames."
This season, Boden is swinging the bat at a .269 rate with 7 hits in 26 at-bats. To date he has hit 1 home run, scored 3 runs and driven in 3.
