June's Best Batter Announced Sunday, July 1st , 2063 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 24 Carlos Gómez has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Norfolk Pajaritos star can enjoy the numbers he put up in June, which have garnered him the nod as the M3L Triple A Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .354 average with 11 home runs, 31 RBIs and 22 runs scored. This year, Gómez has collected a .352 batting average to date with 58 hits in 165 at-bats, 46 RBIs, 14 home runs and scored 34 times. He has played in 44 games. |
