A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Port Huron Blitzkrieg and Hamilton Thunderbirds.

The Port Huron Blitzkrieg thumped the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 10-2, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. David Sterling was a big reason his team got the win. Sterling was 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Salvador Martínez closed the game out for Port Huron, earning his 1st save.

With Port Huron leading 2-0 in the top of the first, Sterling hit a 2-run single off Hamilton hurler Trevor Park. It was the 4th hit of the season for Sterling and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"Not much went right for us," Hamilton manager Jesús Garces said, when asked afterward about the game.

The win moves Port Huron to a record of 1-2.
