Fog Pick Up 3-2 Road Win Over Hudson Bay
|
The Sunset District Fog and Hudson Bay Redwoods played an entertaining game for Redwood Field patrons.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Sunset District Fog and the Hudson Bay Redwoods, 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jarred Conner was the difference-maker. The Sunset District right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. With the win, Sunset District goes to 14-16, while the Redwoods fall to 17-13.
Iván Cervantes hit a bases-clearing triple off Darius Brooks in the top of the fifth, which put the Fog in front, 3-2. Cervantes had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 5.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Conner.
