Rocks Get Hard-Earned Win
The Plymouth Rocks besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Port Royal designated hitter Robert Scott by beating the Disaster, 5-4, at Plymouth Quarry. Scott went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Marvin Justice in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Curley Martha took the loss. The third-place Rocks have won 4 straight games.

Mark Turner was the walk-off hero for Plymouth. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rocks shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The house was rockin'," said Turner.
