Thunderbirds Get One-Run Win at Hudson Bay
|
The Hamilton Thunderbirds topped the Hudson Bay Redwoods, 4-3, at Redwood Field. Hamilton left fielder Bob Wright was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Hamilton is in 11th place in the Menard's AAA with a record of 16-22.
Wright contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Hamilton in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-1, Wright took a sinker from Mauro Ramos and stroked the home run to right-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Thunderbirds to leap in front, 4-3.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Wright.
