Dodos Take Tight Tangle

Salt Lake City got a valiant performance from pitcher Martín Cedeño, but it wasn't enough to beat the Hialeah Dodos. Hialeah won the game, 3-2. Cedeño threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Sosa Kiyomizu got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Hialeah occupies 7th place in the Menard's AAA at 20-22.
Hialeah got a critical at-bat from Grease Zerk. The left fielder stroked a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was huge.
"Every loss hurts," said Salt Lake City manager Todd Hines. "But this was a tough one."
