Plymouth and Hudson Bay duked it out and the Rocks came out victorious.

The Plymouth Rocks rode a solid performance from 30-year-old starting pitcher Reynaldo Hernández to a win, beating the Hudson Bay Redwoods, 2-0, at Redwood Field. Hernández got the win, improving to 1-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Robert Poynter closed out the game, earning his 8th save.

The Rocks got a big at-bat from right fielder Gabriel Turner. For the game, Turner went 1 for 4 with a double and was hit by a pitch. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 7th double of the season gave Plymouth a 1-0 lead.

"Makes our job easier," said Turner, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."

Plymouth now has a record of 27-22 with the win.
