Graham hits 2 home runs to Light Buzz Fuse
|
Thanks in large part to first baseman Blake Graham, the Salt Lake City Buzz beat the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 11-4. Graham was 2-3 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. Anastasio Orozco picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Esko Haapakoski, who is tied for 7th in the 3AAA with a 7.7 K/9 rate, was tagged with the loss. With the win, the Buzz have a record of 27-22.
Salt Lake City used the timely hitting of John James to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Buzz on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said James.
