Redwoods Get Past Port Royal for 2-1 Win
Ballpark of Port Royal featured a tense pitchers' duel.

Port Royal got a valiant performance from pitcher Alvin Buchanan, but it wasn't enough to beat the Hudson Bay Redwoods. Hudson Bay won the game, 2-1. Buchanan threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. David García closed it out for Hudson Bay, earning his 3rd save.

Hudson Bay used a clutch hit from Chris Ledesma to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Redwoods ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Hudson Bay manager Alfonso Núñez.

The Redwoods, at 29-22, sit in second place in the Menard's AAA.
