Rocks Fall to Redwoods, 8-5
|
The Hudson Bay Redwoods overcame a pretty good performance by Plymouth catcher Ramón Lemus, beating the Rocks, 8-5, at Redwood Field. Lemus was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. David García picked up the win in relief. David Meyer took the loss for Plymouth. The Redwoods raised their record to 32-19.
In the bottom of the sixth, Jesús Molina delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Hudson Bay center fielder hit a 3-run home run, putting the Redwoods in front, 8-5.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Molina.
