The Port Huron Blitzkrieg downed the Hialeah Dodos, 3-1, at Port Huron Park. Stellar pitching by Wop Letroit had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Mark Peterson picked up the save for Port Huron, his 10th of the year. Port Huron, with the win, sits at 18-35.
David Sterling hit a run-scoring double off Rubén Quintana in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Blitzkrieg in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Sterling had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"Wop executed his pitches at a high level," said Port Huron manager Mike Nyberg.
