In a close game at Whips Ballpark, the Hudson Bay Redwoods edged the Pawnee ParksNRec, 5-4, in 12 innings. Hudson Bay left fielder Doug Miller stood apart with his performance. He went 2-5 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. David García earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 3-0. Hudson Bay is second in the Menard's AAA with a record of 34-22.
Miller had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a 1-1 fastball from Carlton Taylor, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Redwoods a 5-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Miller.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Miller told the Hudson Bay Today.
