The Buzz grabbed a win, 2-1, at Spirits Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Sunset District pitcher Stephen Jones. Jones went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. Salt Lake City now sports a record of 29-29.
Dave Pace had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the eighth for Salt Lake City. He came through with a 2-run single to put Salt Lake City in front, 2-1.
Pace told a Salt Lake City Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
