Rocks Suffer 4-1 Road Loss
|
The Plymouth Rocks went down to defeat to Ron Woods and his Port Royal teammates. The final score was 4-1, in favor of the Disaster. Curley Martha notched his 14th save in 16 chances. The Disaster raised their record to 31-39.
Port Royal third baseman Juan Pacheco contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 71st hit of the season and put the Disaster ahead, 2-1.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Pacheco, "one at-bat at a time."
