Hialeah starter António Martínez pitched well against the Plymouth Rocks at Dodos Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Getting the save was Carl van Bekenes, his 16th. The win for the Dodos raised their record to 40-34.

In the bottom of the fourth inning of a 2-2 tie, Hialeah center fielder Jeff Huffman reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Hialeah on top, 3-2.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Martínez. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
