|
Port Huron got a terrific game from left fielder Shawn Dalton. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Florida, 5-4. Dalton was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Florida now has a record of 38-37 with the win.
Luis Luttazi was 1 for 4 for Florida. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Wop Letroit. It was his 41st RBI of the season.
Florida manager Caetano Alfena praised his team's "energy."
