Squirrel Monkeys Drop Flyers, 3-2

The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys picked up a win at The Zoo in Syracuse, knocking off the Pennsauken Flyers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Lou Bancroft was a big reason why. Ben Lane earned his 6th save, after closing out the game. The losing skid has reached 8 games for Pennsauken.
Syracuse took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Mart Vroom hit a run-scoring single to make it 3-2, Squirrel Monkeys.
"Lou attacked hitters and trusted his stuff," said Syracuse manager Ramón Barrueco.
