Thursday, July 5th , 2063
Siu-chung Chin has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 27-year-old Bakersfield Nobles center fielder extended his streak to 20 games, going 1-for-4 as Bakersfield got the best of the Jersey City Tritons at Jerome Grounds, 7-5.

"Siu-chung has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Nobles manager Timmy Appeldoorn said.
Siu-chung Chin flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and hit a three-run double in the 7th.

Knight Socks It to Brass, Cracks 5 Hits
Thursday, July 5th , 2063
Even as a kid, Jerry Knight said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Brass Field, Knight showed how well he learned that lesson.

The 23-year-old first baseman had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Montreal Machine, helping his team knock off the Baton Rouge Brass by a score of 8-1.

"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did."

Jerry Knight singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.

Knight is swinging at a .294 pace on the year with 1 home run, 21 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has played in 39 games.
