Sacramento Gets 3-2 Win
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Sacramento Redlegs and the Bakersfield Nobles, pitcher Mauro Ramírez was the difference between victory and defeat. The Sacramento right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Redlegs win. Ramírez got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 4 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The 'W' lifts Sacramento's record to 17-9.
Sacramento grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Tony Taylor delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1, in favor of the Redlegs.
"If we keep winning the close games," Taylor said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
