Squirrel Monkeys Earn Late 9-8 Win
The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys downed the Pennsauken Flyers, 9-8, at The Zoo in Syracuse. The Squirrel Monkeys were led by Mac Kenzie. Kenzie was 1-2 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Syracuse reliever J.J. Hebert snagged the win, upping his record to 1-3. Pablo Gonzáles shouldered the loss. The slumping Flyers have dropped 9 in a row.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Syracuse trailing 8-7, Chris Cook hit a curveball from Pablo Gonzáles to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Squirrel Monkeys had a walk-off win.

"We're not winning games right now," said Pennsauken manager Dave Morse. "But I'm not going to denigrate the effort by the guys."
