The Bakersfield Nobles converted a terrific effort from starter Nick Johnston into a win over the Syracuse Starks at Jerome Grounds. The Nobles won the game by a final score of 5-1. Johnston yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-4. Ed Dodman earned the save, his 7th.
