Flyers Snatch Late-Game, 4-3 Win
|
The Pennsauken Flyers scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Sacramento Redlegs at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Pennsauken pitcher Artie González held his own in the contest. The win went to Álex López in relief, making him now 3-1. Miguel Ortíz took the loss for Sacramento. Pennsauken is 8th in the Premier AAA with a record of 15-17.
Pennsauken used the timely hitting of George Myers to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Flyers on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Myers said.
