Orlando Rodríguez was a major contributor to the 7-6 Bakersfield win over Syracuse. The Nobles left fielder went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 times. The third-place Nobles hiked their record to 18-16.

The Nobles got a clutch hit from third baseman Bobby Pennington. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Nobles.
