The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys topped the Montreal Machine, 7-3, with youngster Mac Kenzie playing a key role. Kenzie was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Squirrel Monkeys in the win. The 8th-place Squirrel Monkeys improved to 17-21.

Syracuse took the lead, 5-2, on Sidney Ames's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Montreal pitcher Chris Bligh in the top of the eighth.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Kenzie told the Syracuse Daily.
