The Jersey City Tritons defeated the Monongahela Monsters, 7-4, in part because of right fielder Richard Anderson. Anderson was 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Tritons. The Monsters, now 9-31, have lost 19 in a row.
Jing-zhong Ng helped out the Jersey City cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Ng told the Jersey City Daily.
