The Bakersfield Nobles needed 11 innings to defeat the Montreal Machine, 6-5, at Jerome Grounds. Bakersfield center fielder Siu-chung Chin had a superb performance. He was 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ken Johnston picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Devin Hancock suffered the loss. The 8th-place Nobles go to 19-22.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Chin hit a curveball from Devin Hancock for a run-scoring single. The Nobles, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This wasn't a good win," said Chin. "It was a great win."
